Amanda Torres
Mental Health Coordinator

Amanda is the mental health coordinator at Educare Chicago.
She manages the social-emotional referral process and supports the mental health needs of Educare Chicago’s students, parents and staff.
Amanda has her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) and received her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in human development and family studies from the University of Missouri. While attending UIC, she completed a specialized training program in integrated evidence-based behavioral health care with a focus on children and adolescents. Before joining Start Early, she worked with Chicago Public Schools, Lurie Children’s Hospital and recently completed an advanced clinical fellowship in outpatient child and family therapy. Amanda has her Professional Educator License (PEL) and is a licensed social worker.
